We’re Temme Cloud & Tech: a small Berlin-based team building real products for real customers. We’re looking for temporary reinforcement.
Honestly, up front: we don’t have a sales operation yet. Our products aren’t technically at the point where we sell them broadly, so there is no pipeline, no playbook, and no sales team here. That is exactly what’s being built right now, and that’s where you come in. You won’t learn to operate an existing machine, you’ll learn how such a machine gets built: understand the market, sharpen the target customer, formulate the message, set up the first processes and write them down. Mentored directly by the founder, with short feedback loops and honest communication.
1–2 days per week you’ll be at our office, additional days remote by arrangement.

What You’ll Learn, and How
You learn by contributing, not by watching. The tasks connect directly to your studies, but you’ll apply your knowledge inside a real company, at a stage where the answers are still open.
Understanding the Market and the Customer
Who has the problem we solve, and which of them pays money for it? You’ll research segments, test hypotheses against real companies, and build the first solid target customer profiles. You’ll learn how to turn a vague “someone needs this” into a target group you can name.
Positioning and Messaging
Turning a technical product into a story someone without an IT background can follow. You’ll work on core messages, website copy, and the arguments we walk into a customer conversation with.
Establishing Sales Processes
How does a lead reach us, where is it recorded, when does it become a quote, who takes which step? Today our pipeline lives in GitLab issues. You’ll help turn that into a process people can follow: define the stages, evaluate tools (including whether we need a CRM at all), document the workflows so they still work after your internship ends.
Thinking Through Strategic Direction
Which product do we sell first, to whom, at what price, through which channel? These questions are open here. You’ll help prepare those decisions: research, numbers, options, recommendation. The founder decides in the end, but you sit in the conversation and learn how a company arrives at decisions like these.
First Outbound Experiments
As soon as there is something to show, we try it out: small waves, a clear hypothesis, results written down. You’ll learn outreach as an experiment with evaluation, not as a numbers game with a daily quota.
AI-Assisted Business Development
We work with modern AI tools daily for research, market analysis, and writing. You’ll learn how to use them productively and responsibly, and where you shouldn’t trust them. A skill rarely taught at university.
Setting Up Metrics Before There Are Numbers
What do you even measure when nothing is running yet? You’ll help define the first metrics, capture a baseline, and set up simple reporting that can grow along with the sales function.
What This Role Is Not
So you know what you’re signing up for:
- No sales quota. There’s nothing to quota against while the product isn’t ready to sell.
- No ready-made lead lists to work through. The lists get created, with you.
- No finished playbook. We write it together, and you’re the one who records it.
- No call center day. Research, structure, and writing make up the larger part.

Your Path Through the Internship
You start with a structured onboarding into our products, market, and tools. After that, you work on real open questions from our day-to-day, including ones a small team usually has to leave on the backlog. What exactly comes up depends on your level and our priorities. Weekly check-ins support you along the way. At the end there is something that lasts: a documented state we keep building on, and a formal certificate for you.
What We Offer
- Small, friendly team — you won’t be one intern among a hundred
- Study meets practice — apply what you learn at university in a real environment
- Building, not administering — you work on topics that didn’t exist here before
- Close to strategy — you see how product, pricing, and market decisions come about
- AI-first business development with modern tools
- Direct mentorship from the founder
- Flat hierarchy, honest feedback
- Structured onboarding
- Formal certificate
What You Should Bring
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with a mandatory internship required by your university
- No master’s students. We fill this role with bachelor’s students on purpose: the internship is designed as a learning role and does not sit well alongside an ongoing research or thesis project
- Preferably Information Systems, Digital Business, Business Informatics, or similar; Business, Marketing, or Media Management with clear tech affinity are also welcome
- Excellent German for B2B communication in the DACH region
- You’re comfortable with a blank page: researching open questions rather than working through a finished task list
- You write down what you found out, so others can build on it
- Interest in SaaS, tech products, and startup environments
Nice-to-have:
- First experience with sales, prospecting, market research, or content work
- Business-fluent English
- Experience with LinkedIn, CRM systems, or outreach tools
- Basic understanding of B2B SaaS
Apply
Send us a short email with your CV and your LinkedIn profile (if you have one). No cover letter needed, a few sentences about yourself and your motivation are enough. If you like: one sentence on what interests you about building a sales function from zero.
